The fact is that given the challenges we face,
Sir Ken Robinson
education doesn’t need to be reformed – it needs to
be transformed.
Education is Outdated
We are teaching our kids using curricula and modes of delivery that were developed over a century ago. Not only that, but there is massive inequality in education, and at no time in history was this more clear than during the Covid-19 lockdowns, when wealthier schools were able to keep classes going via e-learning, while the rest were forced to shut down. This is an unacceptable situation.
What is the solution? The likely answer is m-learning, or mobile learning. In this book Bilal Kathrada aims to answer this question by showcasing the work being done by dedicated people around the world, who are using ingenious and innovative ways to use mobile learning to make quality learning accessible to the world’s most impoverished communities.
